You have just been asked by your very best friend to be his best man, what is your reaction? Initially it is one of pride and excitement.
Then it becomes clear to you that you have to make a speech at the wedding in front of 200 expectant guests. All of a sudden you become anxious, nervous and a little bit panicky. The wedding is not for another year so those feelings will remain with you unless you do something about.
That is where Clane Toastmasters comes in. At Clane Toastmasters you will learn to give presentations in a safe, supporting environment. You will be helped and mentored from basic speeches to more structured speeches. You will get the opportunity to listen to and give feedback on other colleagues’ speeches and learn from them.
Your self-confidence will increase and you will be well prepared to give the best man speech or any speech that you are required to give.
So come along to Clane Toastmasters, meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 7.45pm in the Clane Project Centre, Prosperous Road Clane.
