A woman who claimed that her life with her husband has been 'horrible' alleges that he breached a protection order granted by Naas Court.
However, the husband claims that he did not know at the time that the protection order was in place and tried to make contact with his children, by calling to the house, when she did not want him to.
She says that she applied for a Protection Order as her safety was in danger.
The court heard allegations that her husband 'threatened to kill' her and 'burn' the home.
In court, the accused represented by Solicitor Timmy Kennelly, denies that he threatened to kill her or burn their house.
The court heard how the woman claims that their marriage has been 'horrible.'
Evidence was given that they are nolonger living together and are in the process of a separation.
She said: "I am a good person, I work all the time. I experienced a horrible time. I think that my life is in fear."
In court, the accused said: "I did not know about a protection order, I was dropping off a uniform to my child."
Addressing both parents, Judge Desmond Zaidan said: "You can't let your bitterness impact you. Both of you have to rise to your duties as parents."
Judge Zaidan advised that the couple attend mediation to deal with their break-up.
The Judge ordered that the accused undergo the Probation Act, and ordered them to appear again before Naas Court, on November 8, next.
