A number of road works are set to resume this week following the Bank Holiday weekend with some delays to be expected during the works.
Road re-surfacing works will be carried out today Tuesday 8 May on the L8017 – Glassely L7061 – Oghill Mooretown L70531 – Coolnaferagh Lane L70604 – Duneany Lane. Traffic management will be in place and delays can be expected in the area for the duration of the works.
Meanwhile, over-lay works will be carried out on the L4004 Broomfield to Moone commencing today. A road closure will be in place to facilitate the works from its junction with the L8041 to its junction with the R448.
Local traffic will be catered for during the course of the works.
Meanwhile, Thomas Street will be closed off from the junction with Eyre Street to the junction with Francis Lane in Newbridge from May 28 to June 1.
Kildare County Council has said that temporary closure is at the request of Irish Water and the closure will facilitate a manhole shaft demolition, and other works. Diversions will be put in place and motorists are urged to be cautious in the area.
