A 'glowing' personality is being mourned tonight in a Co Kildare village who are now rallying together in shock.
Teenager Dane Loakman, is described by a neighbour in the Castlefen area as 'a glowing character who his friends held in very high esteem'.
The neighbour who is 'devastated' at the loss of the popular teenager told how he always would laugh and joke and was a pleasure to meet.
Tragically, at around 7.45am yesterday morning, the Sallins teenager was walking towards his school bus when he was involved in a collision, sustaining serious injuries.
Tonight he lost his battle for life in hospital.
