Christy Moore was on the Late Late Show on RTÉ last night, and it's fair to say that the nation was wowed by the Kildare singer's talents once again.
The Newbridge man was part of a fairly decent line up on the national chat show, with the likes of Mark Wahlberg, James Nesbitt and Will Ferrell all appearing on the coach opposite host Ryan Tubirdy.
Moore was his usual passionate and compelling self during the interview with Tubirdy, chatting about a whole range of topics as well as giving a plug to his latest album 'On the Road' which features 24 songs from his 50 years of touring all over Ireland and the UK.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the show was his performance of the iconic Lisdoonvarna which was greatly received by the audience. Even at 72, Moore is still proving to be one of the greatest stage performers Ireland has ever produced.
Christy Moore sums up a lot of gifted Irish people. Extraordinarily talented and passionate, he has suffered with the demons but has overcome them & continues to inspire us all through his talent and love of his country.

Christy Moore singing “The Time has come” on the Late Late show in memory of the Hunger strickers. A song @rte banned when it was released.
