After a thoroughly chilly night last night it's set to be another cold day today as the November weather really settles in, and tonight will bring more temperature drops as it peers towards freezing once again.

Today will be mostly cloudy and misty with patchy rain or drizzle but somewhat drier and brighter weather over Ulster with just the odd shower. Cool generally with top temperatures of 6-8 degrees, but milder in the southwest and along the south coast with top temperatures there of 9-12 degrees. Winds remain light variable or westerly.

Tonight will stay mostly cloudy and misty with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle but some clear spells in parts of the east and north early. Lowest temperatures will fall to between zero and 6 degrees with some frost in the east and north, but staying milder in the southwest with lowest temperatures around 6-10 degrees there. Winds will be light variable or calm with fog forming
