The Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge has applied for planning permission to extend the width of its entrance.
The four-star venue wants to extend the existing piers and walls on Ballymany Road.
The hotel management wants to extend the frontage by 4.4 metres on each side to help improve access to customers.
The planning application was lodged with Kildare Co Council on Tuesday.
