Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision near Maynooth.
The accident occurred less than 30 minutes just after the roundabout on the Straffan to Maynooth road, and there are now longs delays in the area as a result.
There are tailbacks of over two kilometres leading up to the roundabout, and the delays have stretched as far back as the Oldtown Road.
The disruptions on the route will cause delays to those seeking access to the N4 and motorists are advised to seek an alternative route to access that road.
