Gardaí in Navan have arrested three males following a burglary at a premises in Navan on the in the early hours of this morning.
Shortly after 1am this morning Gardaí in Navan received a call that a burglary had occurred at a premises in Blackcastle Shopping Centre, Navan. Gardaí went to the scene and observed a car acting suspiciously being driven by one male before two more males jumped into the car and left the scene in the direction of Slane.
The car was later stopped on the Slane Road by other units from Navan Garda station. Three males(aged 17,17 and 22) were arrested and are being detained at Navan Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
During the burglary the shop's shutter and front window were damaged, a small sum of cash and clothing was taken. No staff were in the shop at the time of the incident.
