Councillor Joanne Pender has asked that Kildare Co Council to "show discretion towards appeals against parking fines" made on behalf of voluntary First Responders for minor parking infringements while attending an emergency call out.
Cllr Pender was referring to the Kildare and Newbridge Municipal District.
The politician will raise the issue at the next monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 17.
Community First Responders work with the National Ambulance Service and are dispatched to perform emergency life saving treatment while waiting on the ambulance service to arrive.
Because members live in the local area they can arrive within minutes of a call and administer CPR and reassurance to patients until the ambulance arrives.
Yellow Box
Councillor Pender also asked that the Council install a Yellow Box at the junction between the Old Road and Munster Joinery on the R401 Dunmurray Road in Kildare Town.
Ring of Roseberry
The politician also asked if the Council can inspect the condition of hedges on the road known as Mooney's Road or the Ring of Roseberry that runs adjacent to the back of Roseberry Hill estate where the most recent housing construction is located.
Dara Park
Cllr Pender also queried if the Council can remove the damaged and leaning electricity pole in Dara Park
Newbridge while it is replaced.
