The personnel will be met by their families and friends.
Drawn from many different Units across the Army and Air Corps, the majority of the 58th Infantry Group’s personnel are drawn from the 7th Infantry Battalion based in Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin.
The 58th Infantry Group were the first Irish unit to deploy directly to Syria since the UN evacuated personnel from the area in 2014.
Their replacements, the 59th Infantry Group, have completed their deployment to Syria and joined their UNDOF colleagues in theatre.
