Just after confirmation that Myles and Ivan Carroll had won the final of the Mens' C Doubles at the World Handball Championships, KildareNow has just learnt that fellow club man Mick Dowling paired with Robbie McCarthy from Westmeath have won the Over 55 final.
That's two world titles for the small club in Ballymore Eustace which has consistently produced winners at county, Leinster, Masters and All-Ireland level.
The Carroll cousins who hail from Dunlavin, are members of Ballymore Eustace Handball Club and defeated Troy Flanagan and Dainel Farrelly 21-18, 21-4.
Mick Dowling (Kildare) and Robbie McCarthy (Westmeath) defeated the USA pairing of Amijo and Brennan, 21-6, 21-16.
A jubilant Gavin Grace, PRO of Ballymore Eustace Handball Club congratulated the two successful pairs and was speechless with excitement, save to say "C'mon the More!
