Gardaí in Dublin have seized cannabis with an estimated value of €24,000 following the raid of a house in the Lucan area yesterday morning.
The Intelligence Led Operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, the Revenue’s Customs Service from the Dublin Region and the Drugs Unit from Ronanstowm.
Gardaí entered a residence in Lucan County Dublin on foot of a search warrant assisted by Customs units. During the search a package was seized by Customs, which contained around 1.25 kilos of Herbal Cannabis with an estimated value of €24,000.
A 25-year-old Irish male were arrested at the scene, as part of the operation by Gardaí. He was detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
He has since been released for a file to be submitted to the DPP.
