The Kildare Animal Foundation Wildlife Unit is appealing to members of the public to drop in their discarded and unwanted newspapers as they are in 'very short' supply of newspapers for wildlife patients as the newspapers are used for their bedding.
Taking to social media, Kildare Animal Foundation's Wildlife Unit said: "We are in real need of newspapers. If you have any to donate please can you drop them off at the shelter."
The newspapers are used for bedding and to line containers and carriers to ensure that wildlife patients are as clean and comfortable as possible.
Kildare Animal Foundation's Wildlife Unit is asking for anyone with bundles of newspaper to call into them at the shelter between 10am-4pm any day.
The Kildare Animal Foundation Wildlife Unit cares and rescues many wildlife living in Kildare including mice, wild birds, squirrels, and more recently pine marten, a swan and an orphaned cygnet and several fox cubs.
Meanwhile, the Wildlife Unit is also looking for new forever homes for these two ducks.
