The Moat Theatre in Naas is looking for young junior performers aged 8-11 years old to play the 'Merry Minions' in their upcoming pantomime 'Robin Hood' with free auditions taking place this Sunday 12 August.

The Moat Club is proud to announce its 38th annual panto, 'Robin Hood', which is brought to you by the team behind last year's sell out production of 'The Three Musketeers' and it's sure to be a fantastic swash-buckling adventure for all the family to enjoy!

With King Richard absent, the realm is in the evil grip of the Sherriff of Nottingham!

The boom is most certainly back in Nottingham according to the Sherriff (taking a leaf out of Michael O’Learys book), chargers on everything are up! If villagers wish to even walk through the town beside each other- they must pay a special charge, and with the annual Christmas tournament fast approaching, Maid Marian along with the residents of Nottingham are at their wit's end.

Could it be that Robin Hood can save the day by winning the tournament, defeating the sheriff and bringing Christmas home…? Come join Robin, Marian and of course Nelly Smickers in this action packed adventure which is expected to run from November 30th -December 15th, 2018 inclusive.

Junior Chorus Auditions this Sunday

The Moat Theatre is looking for a number of junior performers (8-11yrs approx.) who will play the ‘Merry Minions’– part of Robin Hood’s band of outlaws, as well as village children.

Like last year, they will be casting two teams of children so each will only have to perform once on double show days.

If you have any children, grand-children, friends or neighbours who would be interested in getting involved please let them know that the free of charge auditions for Junior Chorus will take place on:

Sunday 12th August at 2pm at The Moat Theatre
