A series of road works are continuing into next week across Co Kildare with road improvement works scheduled for Maynooth commencing on Monday 13 August while in Monasterevenin a road resurfacing project is continuing until the end of next week.
According to Kildare County Council, road works will affect the L2002 road, Firmount cross to Bodenstown Junction in Maynooth.
Traffic management and necessary detours will be in place. Delays are to be expected.
Meanwhile, a ten day road resurfacing project will continue into next week and the works take place along the R445 from the Barrow Bridge to the junction with the R417 in Monasterevin.
A road closure will operate at both junctions, with diversions in place, and a stop / go system will be used for all other sections.
The works will be in place until August 17, 2018.
There will also be essential road surfacing works which will take place at the following locations between the dates of Tuesday 14th August and Friday 17th August inclusive:
1)L8095 Crophill-Between Green Bridge, Castledermot and Plunketstown Cross.
2)L80781 Tankardstown-Between Tankardstown Bridge and R417.
3)L4003 Burtown-Between N78 and Irishtown Crossroads.
4)L7053 Coolenafearagh/Skirteen between R424 Barrow Bridge junction and Laois boundary.
5)L 7051 Coolenafearagh between R424 and Laois Boundary at Ullard and Baylough Bridge.
6)R445 Monasterevin between the R417 and R414 junctions.
All individual areas will take no longer than 1 day to complete and have traffic management and diversions in place but disruption is expected to be minimal.
