Diners at The Happy Pear restaurant in Greystones in Co Wicklow were delighted to spot British comedian and actor Russell Brand dining in the popular restaurant at the weekend-with the funny man giving the restaurant his stamp of approval!
The 'Get Him to The Greek' actor and stand-up-comedian has been a vegetarian since he was 14 and he was also a vegan for a brief period. He popped into The Happy Pear in Greystones over the weekend, later taking to social media where he described the popular restaurant to be "a culinary utopia full of beautiful people."
The Happy Pear is run by twins David and Stephen Flynn, and the staff at the Happy Pear were delighted with the funny man's praise.
“Russell you legend!,” they replied under Brand's Instagram post. “Thanks so much for visiting! Keep up the fab work and being you! Hopefully see you again sometime.”
Russell Brand was famously married to U.S. singer Katy Perry before their divorce in 2012. Last year he married Laura Gallacher and together they have 1 child.
Meanwhile, The Happy Pear is also very popular with other well-known celebrity fans and it has been visited by British chef Jamie Oliver, who offered the twins a spot on his YouTube channel, athlete Rich Roll, and Irish models Rosanna Davison and Roz Purcell.
