Europe’s top fillies will compete for Classic glory in the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh next weekend - and Boodles Ladies Day is offering fabulous prizes to the most stylish lady.
Other races on Saturday, July 21 include the Boodles Ladies Derby, one of the top races in Europe for lady riders - and Jebel Ali Racecourse and Stables Anglesey Stakes (Group 3).
The first race is off at 2.35pm.
The following day - Sunday - is another exciting day with a packed programme of seven competitive races featuring the Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes and Group 2 Minstrel Stakes.
The Curragh Races Boodles Ladies Day style contest 2018 was launched this week at the fabulous Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa amphitheatre against the stunning backdrop of Wicklow’s Sugarloaf Mountain.
The main prize is valued in excess of €10,000 and includes a dual prize from sponsors Boodles and Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa.
An ultimate Boodles experience with a champagne appointment at the exclusive Grafton Street store along with a prize up to the value of €5,000 from their fabulous collection.
Two night’s stay in the palatial Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa’s Presidential suite, dinner for two in SIKA Restaurant, sumptuous Afternoon Tea for two in the newly refurbished Sugar Loaf Lounge on one day, two treatments in the award winning ESPA spa, one year membership of Powerscourt’s Leisure Club, which boasts a Swarovski crystal lit swimming pool and gym and access to the ESPA facilities
Four runners up will receive a luxury overnight stay for two in Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa including breakfast in SIKA overlooking the Sugar Loaf Mountain
The judges were revealed as leading lady jockey Kate Harrington and editor of online style magazine evoke.ie Sybil Mulcahy.
Sybil said: "A lady that is confident in her own skin, oozes confidence and is dressed for the weather with hopefully a pop of colour.”
The judges were joined by Evan Arkwright, Commercial Manager of The Curragh Racecourse; principal sponsor Sophie Styles, Assistant Manager of Boodles Grafton Street and General Manager of Powerscourt Hotel & Spa, Ian Wynne.
