Kildare Co Council has been update on the restoration of Leixlip Castle Boat House.
Cllr Anto Larkin will raise the issue at the monthly meeting of the local Municipal District next week.
A year ago, the historic building was awarded a €3,000 grant from the Heritage Council and to investigate a plan for the restoration of the project.
The stone Boat House dates back to 1780 but is now disused and derelict.
It's located on the grounds of Leixlip Castle on banks of the Rye Water and River Liffey.
The Boat House received the €3,000 grant from the Heritage Council and the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs under its 2017 Community Heritage Grants Scheme.
