Kildare farmer who died in freak accident to be laid to rest today

A popular farmer in his 70s who was killed in a quad biking accident will be laid to rest today.

Tragic Eoin Fagan of Ballinderry, Enfield, Co Kildare was found submerged in water on his farm at around 9.30 pm on Thursday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and later brought to Navan Morgue for a post-mortem.

The Health and Safety Authority preserved the scene for a full investigation.

Eoin is survived by his partner Barbara and his sons Killian, Ciarán, Jonathan and Kevin and daughter Íde and granddaughter Lydia.

Also being comforted after his loss are sisters Mary, Bridie Ann and Angela as well as brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

The Funeral Mass takes place at The Church of The Assumption, Jordanstown, Enfield today at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
