Naas Traffic Corps came to the rescue of a motorist with a puncture who discovered their spare tyre was also flat.
Officers came upon the vehicle parked on the hard shoulder (pictured) as darkness fell yesterday evening and decided to speak to the driver.
The puncture on a front tyre was later fixed with the help of a breakdown truck and the motorist went on their way.
Gardai used the incident to issue a warning to always ensure that a vehicle's spare tyre is correctly inflated and in roadworthy condition.
