Motorists are experiencing traffic delays in many areas of Kildare this evening.
With high winds and heavy rain falling all over the county there are reports of trees down on some roads that are causing obstructions, while there have also been a couple of incidents to slow traffic down.
There are reports of an accident on the N7 outbound near the Red Cow Interchange, and traffic is very heavy on approach to that area.

On the N7 further out there are delays from J7 Kill to J10 Naas South.
However, traffic is heaviest on the R409 between Naas and Caragh where it has been at a near standstill from the Millennium Park Link Road to Caragh village for some time now.
