Kildare County Council has today given notice that a road in Co Kildare will close for eight weeks to facilitate necessary watermain works in the area.
According to Kildare County Council,in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close:The L-3007(1), Suncroft Road/ Brownstown Manor from its junction with the L-3006 at Brownstown Cross to its junction with L-7030 Farrells Cross starting from Tuesday, 10 April 2018 to Friday 01 June 2018
The closure is required to facilitate laying of watermain. Motorists are being advised to take alternative routes during the works.
Alternative Routes
Traffic from Suncroft wishing to access Curragh Camp/Newbridge will be diverted at Farrells Cross, turning left onto L-7030, continue along L-7030 until its juction with L-7028, turn right onto L-7028 and continue to its junction with L-3006. Turn right onto L-3006 and continue to its junction with L-3008. Turn left onto L-3008 to reach Curragh Camp/Newbridge
Traffic from Curragh Camp/Newbridge wishing to access Suncroft will be diverted at Brownstown Cross, turning right onto L3006, continue along L-3006 until its juction with L-7028, turn left onto L-7028 and continue to its junction with L-7030. Continue along L-7030 until you reach its junction at Farrells Cross. Turn right at Farrells Cross and continue to Suncroft.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted Local Access will be maintained. Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation & Public Safety at the address below or by e-mail to roadssubmissions@kildarecoco.ie on or before 5.00 p.m. on Friday 23 March, 2018.
