New cycle lanes are being planned for Clane in a bid to help traffic progression on the Kilcock Road.
Kildare County Council made the announcement at the latest meeting of the Maynooth Municipal District on Friday morning, stating that they are due to paint new markings on the road for the cycle lanes very shortly.
KCC were responding to a question posed by Cllr Tim Durkan, who asked what progress had been made in identifying/installing traffic calming measures on that particular road.
The council responded by stating that road markings are due to be installed for cycle lanes on this section of road either this month or next.
