The Kildare minor footballers will get their Leinster LGFA Minor Football Championship campaign underway this Sunday against Longford.

The Lilies travel to the midlands for the 2pm throw-in at the Longford Slashers GAA ground, where they will be hoping to progress through the preliminary round and make it into the quarter-finals. Should they win on Sunday, Kildare will come up against Westmeath in the quarter-final, which will be a repeat of last year’s Leinster semi-final which Kildare won after extra-time.

Gavan Doyle will lead the Lilies this year, having coached Laois in 2017.
