A man appeared before Naas District Court on a single charge of sexual assault.
The young man has been ordered to appear before Wicklow Circuit Court.
The midlands man is facing charges in relation to the sexual assault of a woman at his home address in 2017.
At an earlier sitting of Naas District Court, it had been heard how they had met on a 'dating website.'
At the time Judge Desmond Zaidan had said that he was not comfortable dealing with the case in the District Court and wanted the DPP to see if the case needs to be tried by a Jury.
Judge Zaidan said that he wanted to know that the DPP are sure that it is to be tried before the District Court and not under trial by Jury.
The DPP has made the decision to bring the charges before Wicklow Circuit Criminal Court, sitting in Bray.
