Gardaí have arrested three men and recovered a large amount of stolen property following raids on premises across the eastern region.
According to Gardaí, a number of searches took place yesterday in the east and southeast as part of an intelligence-led operation, though the details provided by a Garda spokesperson are relatively sparse.
A search, under warrant, took place at a house in rural county Laois near the Tipperary border and three men were arrested at the scene and a large quantity of stolen property recovered.
The three men (aged 27, 27 & 31) are currently detained at Portlaoise, Tullamore and Athlone Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 50, Criminal Justice Act, 2007 and can be detained for up to seven days.
