Man who died in Naas factory accident was buried today

The man who died in Thursday night's shocking workplace accident at the Green Isle factory in Naas was laid to rest today.

John O'Sullivan (42), an engineer from Kilkenny, leaves behind his son Adam, daughter Martha and wife Maureen.

Mr O'Sullivan, who lived in Westfield Drive in Kilkenny City, was an engineer in the factory for over a year before his death.

The accident occurred on Thursday evening at around 6.30pm when a machine crushed the worker to death. There are separate investigations into the the incident being carried out by the HSE and the Gardaí.

Mr O'Sullivan is also survived by his parents Billy and Bee, brothers Liam, Benny and Aidan, sisters Chris, Trish and Pauline and mother-in-law Maisie.

His remains reposed at his parents home followed by removal to St. Fiacre's Church, Loughboy, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon today.

Burial took place afterwards in Foulkstown Cemetery.
