A unique 'pedal-powered cinema' is coming to Prosperous village next month as locals from the community planning an entertaining night out for people of the area.
The Prosperous Community Association is hosting its inaugural pedal cinema event, Mamma Mia, which will take place in Scoil an Linbh Iosa, Prosperous on March 10.
Tickets are priced at just €5 for entry to the family friendly show that showcases Abba's greatest hits, and the money raised will go towards the costs of resurfacing the much needed community car park beside the Tennis Courts in Prosperous. With thanks to Drehid, the Community Association received approximately 50% of the costs and thank the community for their continued support in raising the funds.
A ‘Pedal Cinema’ relies on up to 50 local cyclists to power the movie screen and sound system to show the movie, something that has never been seen in Prosperous before. Tickets for this must see show are likely to go extremely fast, so make sure and snap yours up today.
