A gym that has one outlet in Kildare has been named as Ireland's Best Physical Fitness Centre at the 2018 Irish Enterprise Awards.

Educogym, renowned for it's short, intense workouts and quick results, has recently opened in Naas and has a host of gyms spread throughout Ireland.

The gym chain has established more than 20 gyms across the world since opening the first location in 2007. Over the last ten years Educogyms have been opened all across Ireland, with other gyms in Belize, London and Los Angeles, all of which have proved hugely successful in helping people achieve incredible fitness results.

The training programmes engineered at Educogym are different to most others – 20-minute sessions that focuses solely on resistance weight training rather than the endless turgid cardio workouts that many gyms employ. Much of the equipment used in Educogym branches was designed by experts working for the brand and is patented by the company itself, ensuring that a full body workout is possible on the same machine.

Aside from helping clients get into better physical shape, the mental aspect of Educogym workouts is just as important to the experienced trainers who work with clients on a one-to-one basis throughout their 20-minute training sessions. Achieving a more focused mind is one of the benefits of these programmes, with as much emphasis being placed on a healthy life balance as well as achieving fitness goals.

The grandson of legendary horse trainer Vincent O’Brien, Jamie has inherited those same gifts of mentoring, training and focus and applied them to people who are looking to build towards being the best they can be. Jamie’s clients have included some well- known entertainment and sports personalities, most notably Major-winning golfer, Darren Clarke who he helped shed an amazing 4.5 stone and pop star, Robbie Williams.

Having recently opened a gym on South Main Street in Naas, Co Kildare, CEO Jamie Myerscough was delighted to receive the award.

“It is an honour for Educogym to be recognised as being the Best Physical Fitness Centre in Ireland in 2018, and it is testament to every member of staff that we have working across all our branches. We are always looking to expand our business, and it is great to receive an award that highlights the hard work that we are doing.

“There is incredible joy to be taken from watching people completely change their lives through our simple, intensive 20-minute workouts, and the feedback that we continuously get from clients has been hugely positive.

“People waste their efforts with endless running on treadmills or spinning bikes and get little or no results. Our training sessions incorporate resistance weight training and focus on specific areas of

the body for each session, such as legs, arms or the back and so on... We encourage our clients to create a mental blueprint of how they would ultimately like to look and feel. They imagine themselves as healthy, with more energy, maybe slimmer, more focused and stronger. This encourages them to be more focused not just in the gym but through all aspects of their life.”
