As the New Year gets underway one usual constant is that some motorists may purchase a shiny new car to mark 2018, but this year a recently published report claims that fewer “181” registration cars will be seen on Kildare roads.
According to data released by SIMI, 800 fewer new cars were sold in Kildare last year than in 2016.
Data released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) shows 5,278 new cars were registered in the county in the last 12 months with 800 fewer new cars were sold in Kildare last year than in 2016.
That's down from 6,046, and is a drop of 12.7% and SIMI has said that car sales across Ireland were down 10% in 2016.
