The winds of Storm Dylan failed to make any major impact upon Kildare despite a weather warning being in place overnight, but there is some rather mixed weather on the way for this part of the country throughout the morning.
Persistent rain for a time in northern areas otherwise bright today with sunny spells and showers becoming widespread during the morning, many of the showers will be heavy and of hail with some prolonged or thundery showers likely to affect southwestern western and northern areas at times. Afternoon temperatures of 4-9 degrees
Showers will tend to die away in many eastern areas tonight, becoming dry and clear but scattered showers will continue elsewhere and some more persistent rain may affect the south coast for a time later in the night. Overnight lows will range from 1 or 2 degrees in northern areas to 5 or 6 degrees along the south coast.
