Planning permission has been refused for the construction of five detached two-storey homes in Monasterevin.
Developers Green Road Partnership had proposed two 5-bed, two 4-bed and one 3-bed properties for Mountrice.
The planning application, which was filed in October, was tuned down earlier this month by Council planners.
The applicants are free to modify the plans and re-submit the planning application again.
