Gardaí in Kildare seized two vehicles during a routine checkpoint carried out in the county yesterday.
A unit from Naas Traffic Corps mounted the checkpoint outside Clane and seized two vehicles for not having any insurance or tax.
As seen in the photos, one of the vehicles was a navy Ford Mondeo and the other was a black Volkswagen Golf.
Both motorists now face a date in court in relation to the offences.
Failure to have motor insurance or driving without insurance in Ireland is generally punishable by a fine of up to €5,000 and five penalty points.
