If householders haven't received their Census by next Tuesday, then they should contact the CSO immediately.
More than 5,000 enumerators have been calling to doors across the country to deliver the two million forms before Census Night - April 24.Every household in the country is required by law to fill out the 35-question survey which takes less than half an hour to complete.

However five people were prosecuted by the courts in 2011 for not taking part in the nationwide Census.

A CSO spokeswoman said: "If you have not received your form by 19 April, you should contact CSO directly on LoCall 1850 201604 - by logging a Helpdesk call requesting a Census form."

After the forms are filled out, the designated enumerator will then call to collect your form before May 23.

However if your form has not been collected by then, please post it, fully completed, to the CSO.

The information is used to understand population changes and for planning infrastructure.

Even if somebody is visiting another home on that night or staying in a hotel in the country they must be recorded as being there.
