A multi-vehicle collision on the M50 this morning has caused traffic to become chaotic in many areas as thousands of motorists are held up on their way to work.
The incident happened between 7am and 7.20am, and three lanes on the southbound route were blocked between J7 Lucan and J9 Red Cow. The incident has since been pushed towards the hard shoulder, but there are delays of 45 minutes being reported from J4 Ballymun to J7 Lucan.

More worryingly for Kildare commuters, there is another accident on the M50 Southbound at J9 Red Cow. Traffic on approach to the scene there is extremely heavy, and the right lane on that route is currently blocked.
It's busy on the N7 Inbound towards Dublin, but there are no delays out of the ordinary to report from that route.
