Three Kildare hurlers have been named in the Ireland panels for the upcoming Shinty internationals against Scotland next weekend.
Paul Divilly and Gerry Keegan are part of the senior side that will take on the Scots, while Naas youngster Jack Sheridan will line out for the U21 team.
The U21 squad is made up of players from all over the country, and it will be managed by Conor Phelan from Kilkenny and Willie Maher from Tipperary. It is Sheridan's first time to be involved in the international series, and he will be high on confidence after bagging all of Naas' scores in their Kildare SHC loss to Celbridge just over two weeks ago.
Facing him on that day in St Conleth's Park was Celbridge star Gerry Keegan, who was subsequently named Man of the Match. He joins Confey dual-player Paul Divilly in a senior squad that is packed with recognisable names, with All-Ireland winning Tipperary stars Noel and John McGrath and Michael Breen all included in Jeffrey Lynskey(Galway) and Gregory O'Kane's(Antrim) squad.
The games will take place in Inverness on Saturday October 22, with the U21 tie due to get underway at 11.50am and the senior match throwing in at 2pm.
