Two cash-in- transit robberies have taken place today, the first in Tallaght and then in Finglas.
The first robbery in Tallaght Village outside the Bank of Ireland building took place shortly before midday. A security officer was approached and threatened by a male who fled the scene in a waiting car with a cash box.
At the Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas, shortly after midday, a second robbery took place. Again a security officer was approached and confronted by a male who fled the scene on foot and into a waiting car with the cash box.
A car has since been recovered on fire in the nearby North City Business Park.
