Co Kildare Leader Partnership starting free new courses for jobless

An Open Day is being held tomorrow for two new courses aimed at unemployed people being run by the County Kildare Leader Partnership.

The event is taking place at 10am at the Jigginstown Commercial Centre on the old Limerick Road, Naas.

A course in Employment Skills will begin on Monday, October 17 and consists of four Information Technology subjects that will give a good overall introduction to Microsoft Office and four general courses to prepare for employment.

A course in Retail Skills will also commence on October 17.  This course consists of four Retail Skills subjects, an Information Technology subject and three general subjects that will facilitate entry to the workplace.

The training centre is easy accessible and is located beside Aldi.

The centre has state-of-the-art facilities where each student is provided with his/her own work station and up to date software.

The learning environment is focused on individual needs and one to one support is provided where this is necessary.  The courses are sponsored by KWETB.

Co Kildare Leader Partnership has been presenting such courses for the past 15 years with major success in that students have secured employment and or progressed to further education.
