A man has died in a road collision after the motorcycle he was travelling collided with a tractor in Roscommon yesterday evening.
Gardai in Boyle are investigating the two-vehicle fatal collision that occurred on the N5 between Strokestown and Scramoge Cross at approximately 8pm this evening.
The male motorcyclist in his 50’s was fatally injured when his motorcycle was collidided with a tractor. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Roscommon Hospital. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
