Naas Emma Ginty (16) is one of the youngest exhibitors at this year's Ploughing Championships which kicks off today.
Emma was at the event site in Screggan Co. Offaly to get ready her pedigree Poll Dorset ewe and three-week-old lamb in their pen.
Almost 300,000 people are set to attend the 85th National Ploughing Championships which runs until Thursday.
The event will be officially opened by President Michael D Higgins at noon.
The Championships is estimated to be worth some €40million to the economy.
Some 355 ploughing competitors will be chasing national titles in 28 classes, but will also have more than 1,500 trade stands from both home and abroad.
Day tickets are €20 at the gate.
