A Boyelsports bookmakers store and a retail unit that formerly housed an Xtra Vision store has gone up for sale in Athy.
Both premises, which are located on Stanhope and Leinster Street, are being sold together for a reserve price of €350,000-€400,000. The former Xtra-Vision unit is currently vacant, but Boylesports have already agreed a lease that runs until 2023 and they plan on moving into the Xtra-Vision store. The vacant retail unit has a total size of 186 sq metres, while the unit currently occupied by Boylesports is 112 sq metres in size.
The current Boylesports unit will become vacant once the bookemakers moves into the former Xtra-Vision store.
Boylesports currently pay €21,000 per annum to rent the store, though it will rise to €30,000 p.a in the coming years.
Commercial property specialists Allsop are in charge of the sale.
