A renowned Co Kildare trainer whose horse Sublimity won the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham vouched at Naas District for his 'senior man'.
Evidence was given in court how an employee of Mr Carr, based in Maynooth, was charged in relation to two separate incidents of public order, the latest on August 28, 2016, at 1.40am, at the Main St, Maynooth.
The court heard how 29- year-old Kuban Kerimukulov, Maynooth, who earns €350 per week, was directed to leave the area and refused. Evidence was given that the accused was previously charged with public order in 2013 and had been arrested on a bench warrant in 2014.
Mr Carr appeared in court, fearful that the Kurdastan native could lose his visa if given a criminal conviction.
Defence Solicitor, Conal Boyce, suggested that the incident at Main St, Maynooth, could have been racially motivated.
Mr Boyce said: "He is deeply remorseful. His employer Mr Carr has told me that he is lying awake at night worrying about this. It can be a lonely life, knowing that you are different."
Judge Desmond Zaidan said that if there was evidence that it was a racially motivated attack then he would throw the case out.
Inspector Mel Smyth said that the arresting Garda could not confirm if it was a racially motivated attack.
Mr Carr outlined to the court how Kerimukulov is a 'valuable member of the team.'
He said: "He is my senior man."
Mr Carr told the court how Kerimukulov is a 'well-behaved' man who resides on his farm.
He said: "When this incident happened, I went to the bar man, he admitted that the incident had happened. He said that this man can only have one or two drinks, that he can't hold his drink at all."
Keriumukov told the court that he can't remember the incident at all.
Judge Zaidan said that while incidents of racist attacks are very sad, it is not '100% clear' what happened in this incident.
Keriumukov was ordered to undertake the probation act and was ordered to pay €500 by November 24 to Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children.
