This motorist using a bin bag and duct tape to repair their shattered windscreen had their vehicle seized by Gardai.
The vehicle also had no insurance, tax or NCT.
Gardai suggested the bin bag may lead to a new style of 'tinted windows'!
A Garda said: "We encourage recycling but this is taking it a bit far...!
The car was seized and will be returned when documents are produced.
However the owner will have to pay a €125 release fee to the car pound and €30 for every extra day it's not claimed.
