NUI Maynooth is now known as the top university in the world.
Two other Irish universities also have been ranked within the top 150 of Young Universities of the World.
The University of Limerick (UL) and Dublin City University (DCU) also made the rankings.
The '150 Under 50' ranking applies the same performance as the overall The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
