A woman pulled a 16-year-old girl's hair and left her bruised after attacking her for no reason on the street, a court heard.
Aileen Burns (23),Calendar's Mill, Celbridge assaulted the girl, who was walking on the road with her friends on June 8, 2013.
Judge David McHugh gave her a four-month suspended sentence at Blanchardstown District Court, the Irish Independent reported.
The accused pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to the girl.
She also admitted to a series of separate public order offences, including public drunkenness and breach of the peace.
The cases were all before the court for the production of a probation report.
