Funeral of renowned business woman in Naas to be held this weekend.

The business sector of Naas town and the community of Straffan are still coming to terms with the death of boutique owner, Mary Ferris, RIP.

The proprietor of Evita’s of South Main Street, Naas, the fashion house was known the length and breadth of Ireland for its race-day style and mother of the bride fashions and accessories. Established in 1984, it was renowned as a stockist of leading international and Irish designer brands, along with catering for larger sizes.

It is understood Mrs Ferris (nee Griffin) died after a brief illness and is survived by her husband Paul and children Clive and Chloe; sisters Patty and Catherine, brothers Ger and John and extended family.

The Ferris family live at Ladycastle, Straffan and were known in business and social circles across Co Kildare. The deceased was a native of Claremorris, Co Mayo.

Reposing at her residence on Friday from 5-8pm, with rosary at 7pm. Removal on Saturday at 10.30am to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Straffan for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial at Bodenstown Cemetery, Sallins. Family flowers only please.
