An accident on the M50 is threatening to cause big disruption to traffic on the route as rush hour nears. The accident occurred on the M50 Southbound near J6 Blanchardstown inside the past few minutes, and the auxiliary lane on the road has been blocked as a result.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of the accident, and there are reports that there were up to four cars involved in the collision. A tow truck has been sent to the area to remove the vehicles involved.
It is causes mild delays so far, with traffic moving very slowly from J4 Ballymun downwards, while there are also rubberneckers on the M50 Northbound near the scene that are causing slight delays on that route.

There is also a crash on the M50 Northbound between J10 Ballymount and J9 Red Cow which is causing delays from J11 Knocklyon.
