A man with a Co Kildare address was yesterday found guilty of the murder of a pensioner in Edenderry.
A jury is to resume in deliberations today against one of three men on trial for the murder the 64-year-old.
Thomas "Toddy" Dooley died at his home in Sr. Senan Court on February 2014.
Yesterday, 25 year-old James Davy from Thornhill Meadow, Celbridge and 21-year-old Sean Davy of Clonmullen Drive, Edenderry were found guilty of his murder. The trial resumes today for 22-year-old Mathew Cummins of Churchview Heights, Edenderry, who also denies murder.
The trial heard the three men had been drinking and taking drugs at a party in Edenderry into the early hours of 12 January 2014.
Later, they went to the home of Mr Dooley, where they drank for a while.
Four days later the body of the pensioner was found slumped in an armchair. He had severe head injuries and broken ribs.
He had been hit eight times on the head with a baseball bat. Someone had tried to set his chair and his clothes on fire.
All three men denied murder.
