Kildare County Council is due to make a decision this week on a proposed new filling station in Kildare Town.
The facility is being planned for the large ModusLink premises opposite Kildare Village shopping outlet.
ModusLink wants to demolish an existing 1,600 square metre building on its site.
It also wants to build a fuel station building including retail area, three food/beverage courts and outdoor and indoor children's play areas.
The development aims to be the first filling station on the west side of the town.
